Subject: RE: UTAK Labs- Scheduling Our Quarterly Business Review (CID:055010)
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for reaching out. I would prefer to answer via email as I have limited time for calls. Please see my answers in red below.
1. On a scale of 1-10, how satisfied are you with UTAK and why? 8. Generally response time is quick and controls that we need are either readily available or quickly prepared (for custom). The only repeated issue we have had is delays in negative matrices like human whole blood, urine, and serum. We do understand general delays due to the need for collection and testing, but we have also had issues where we test a sample of a lot and then when we accept the sample it is no longer available, which can be quite frustrating. We also have received a few samples for lots that are not completely negative.
2. What is the most valuable aspect of our partnership for you? Overall, the availability of controls at reasonable prices and the ability to order custom controls.
3. Are there any areas you would like to see us improve? Communication with the parties placing the orders (i.e., when a price update is needed, send to the listed requester not the general accounts payable or purchasing email), and providing the sample acceptance form with the matrix samples as was once done.
4. Have you adopted any new testing methods or instruments recently, or plan to in the near future? Yes, however, we are not using any additional external controls.
5. What metrics do you track to measure our impact on your business? Time of receipt of ordered controls and communication about delays.
6. Are there any upcoming projects where UTAK labs can add value? Unfortunately, not at this time.
7. Do you use any programs like Biorad’s Unity to track your QC performance? If so, what program do you use? No we do not use any programs outside of internally prepared documents or our LIMS.
8. Do you feel like our pricing is fair, too high, or too low? Overall, pricing Is fair, though the price of negative human matrices is high and oftentimes are not completely negative.
9. Would you recommend UTAK to another lab? Why or why not? Yes, I would recommend UTAK to another lab. Overall, quality of controls and availability of controls has been useful and good.
Thank you,
