Hi Andrew,
Alcohol biomarker analysis in hair typically looks at EtG and several fatty acid ethyl esters (ethyl palmitate, ethyl oleate, ethyl myristate, ethyl stearate) that are confirmed markers for alcohol use. I think it is mostly used for compliance testing purposes.
There will be at least an application note that comes out of this project and probably a poster as well. We will definitely mention UTAK as the source of the matrix!
I am still in the early stages of this project so I'm not sure how much matrix I expect to go through. The bottle of SMx Hair we already have is 50 mL, so maybe another of the same amount?
